A group project where we made an installation. For our project my role was the technologist, we helped each other out a lot with the different roles where needed. I helped with the design, installation of the different parts and the branding poster throughout the project.
My main part of the project was to create an interactive light feature for the installation using Arduino. I did research into different sensors and lights and looked at similar projects for inspiration. I played with coding LDR sensors for the first time which is what I ended up using in our installation. I created many test circuits on Tinkercad, trying out different codes and layouts to figure out exactly how I would put the actual circuit together. I ended up creating a light effect where the colour of the LED strip would change depending on which sensor you put your finger over.
Although I am not a huge physical maker I still really enjoyed this project and especially loved messing around with light interactions, getting a chance to improve my coding skills further.
